This place is right across the street from me but I've always been a little hesitant to eat here due to the varying reviews. We ordered a few plates to share between the 4 of us and to my surprise, every plate was delightful!
We tried the Shanghai style noodles, chicken fried rice, soup dumplings, and bao pork buns. The noodles were a big hit and we all loved them! The server recommended thick noodles with the order and we thought they were delicious, would definitely get again. The fried rice was average, but the basil was a good touch. The soup dumplings and buns were SO yummy! Everyone around us ordered the buns as well so they must be a customer favorite.
The interior is clean and simple and the employees were friendly overall. Our server, who I believe is also the manager, was a bit eccentric but pretty upbeat and excited to make suggestions to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Will definitely be coming back to try some more items! -

Yes, I know this a chain restaurant and most of the time chain restaurants are 3 star affairs, but the quality of food here is phenomenal for what it is. I've eaten at Chinese restaurants from Hong Kong to Chinatown, London England. My wife of 40+ years is Chinese and she has shown me the path to good Chinese food. The first time we tried to eat here we couldn't find any open parking spots in the area and the line out the door was a bit much for us, but it spoke volumes to me about was going on inside. We would be back.
So today we decided to eat rather early and found the place open with plenty of tables, a caulk board outside advertised the specials of the day but it was all in Chinese writing. So now I am thinking most of their customers are Chinese, entering I found I was right. Another good sign because for the most part, you can say Chinese people know where to go for good Chinese food. You don't see them lining up out the door at Panda Express or PF Chang's.
Inside it's simple and clean, but tasteful. It might have been me, but it seemed to say, "get ready, we're about the food here." We ordered almost at the blind. With 155 items on the menu and not knowing the house specials we thought about trying some time tested dishes, dumplings, fried rice, and a wonderful noodle soup called "seafood in crab meat sauce noodle soup." All three dishes were excellent, very tasty, and not overly salted like in a lot of other places. The dumpling were large with a good amount of hot soup inside. Each dumpling was a joy to pop in your mouth. 8 dumpling came with the order. The fried rice was prepared just right, not greasy or overly salted, lots of flavor from the many ingredients and a touch of smokiness. I have to say the fried rice order is large enough for a party of four EASY. The noodle soup broth was light, intriguing, and made even better when you drop a spoon full of the seafood sauce into it. The sauce contained pieces of very tender white flaky fish, shrimp, scallops, and crab. It was topped with finely chopped green onion and silvers of ginger. The sauce was marvelous. The noodles were perfect. We came away impressed with the quality of food here, especially for the price. Service was efficient and fast.
We will be back. This is an easy 4 stars for me, almost 5, but that could change. More visits are in order. -

Drive by and found out there is Chinese breakfast!!!! They offer every day and, although is not terribly early, but is early enough for me to stop by in the morning on my way to work. Surprise find! Happy that I can get a soy milk and fried dough. Also tried their breakfast rice ball and some other items on the menu. Tasted pretty good.

This is one of my favorite place for good Chinese food with a group. There's ample seating and they get the food out quickly. Service oscillates from super friendly with complimentary food to mild disdain depending on the day. Nevertheless the food is consistently delicious. The pork buns and xlb are solid. The green beans are life. I also love the rice cake with greens and pork. The noodles are in fact tasty. Also a pleasant surprise is the black pepper pork chop. The scallion pancake must always be ordered. It's also Relatively affordable for what you get.
